Bedding, bakeware just some of January’s gifts
MISSISSIPPI —Bedding and bakeware are just some of the gifts being given away in January. Players club members at various casinos who earn a set amount of points when playing can receive these and other items with the gift of the month giveaways.
Be sure to have your club card properly inserted or give the card to pit personnel when playing table games to earn points for the exciting gifts. Points and rated play will add up, and those accumulated points will lead the way to getting special items. Just earn the required number of points and then follow the instructions on how to claim the items, including sheet sets, meal prep sets, casserole dishes and more.
Boomtown Casino Biloxi has the Buffalo bedding gift giveaway in January. Earn points Wednesdays, starting Jan. 5, or Sundays, starting Jan. 9, to receive an item each week.
After earning 100 points from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday or from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, print a ticket at a kiosk and then redeem for a weekly gift, including a comforter, duvet, sheet set and pillow set.
There is a limit of one gift per week per
account while supplies last.

At Bally’s Vicksburg, players club members can get items perfect for the bedroom in January. Players who have $250 coin in or have one hour of rated table play on Sundays, starting Jan. 9, will receive a choice of a free gift or $10 Free Slot Play. Once $250 is coined in or table play has been earned, swipe at any promotional
kiosk and choose either the gift or the Free Play.
Gifts include a humidifier, temperature regulating sheet set, quilt and more. All gifts are available while supplies last. If the gift option is selected, visit the Riverroom between 1 and 5 p.m.
Those accepting the Free Play option will find it automatically loaded onto their players club card. One
gift or Free Play offer per person each Sunday.
Earn points to get gifts in two Earn & Get Gift Giveaways at WaterView
Casino Hotel. On Sunday, Jan. 9, players club members who earn 75 points can swipe at any promotional kiosk for a ticket to receive a 10-piece lunch set. And on Sunday, Jan. 23, earn 75 points to swipe at a promotional kiosk for a ticket to receive a 20-piece meal prep set. On both days, points must be earned between 1 and 5 p.m. Players should bring tickets to the Event Center to redeem for the special gifts.

Pearl River Resort to host two pageants in 2022
CHOCTAW – Pearl River Resort announced that the 2022 Miss Mississippi USA and Miss Mississippi Teen USA Pageants will be held at the Silver Star Convention Center on April 1 and 2.

USA pageants,” said

and CEO of Pearl River Resort. “The young ladies that participate will create a lifetime of memories and it is truly an honor to be part their special moment.”
“We are very excited to hold our upcoming event more centrally located
in the state at the gorgeous Pearl River Resort,” said Kim Greenwood, pageant director, adding that the resort will be the perfect place for contestants vying for the titles of Miss Mississippi USA and Miss Mississippi Teen USA.
The winners of these two events will travel on to the national competitions of Miss USA and Miss
Teen USA.
The reigning Miss USA, Asya Branch,
hails from Booneville, Mississippi, and competed at the Miss Universe pageant in May, where she placed 21st. She made history when she was the first African
American to be named Miss Mississippi USA and then again when she was the first titleholder from Mississippi to win the Miss USA title.
Current titleholders Bailey Mae Anderson, Miss Mississippi USA 2021, and Mattie Grace Morris, Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2021, will relinquish their crowns following a year of representing the state at various events and functions.
