Palace Casino has summer pairing dinner
 BILOXI — Foodies and wine enthusiasts will find plenty to talk about with the upcoming wine dinner at Palace Casino Resort. Taking place in Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood and featuring five courses paired with wines from Ziata Wines, the dinner is set for Thursday, June 23, at 7 p.m.
The meal starts with tomato salad as the first course.
Tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, Chevre cheese and olives make up the salad, which is paired with Ziata Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Next, enjoy seafood chowder with local fish and shrimp. The chowder is served with Ziata Carneros Napa Valley Chardonnay.
The first entrée, pork Savannah with pork tenderloin, mushroom sauce, cornbread,
fried okra and shallot rings, is paired with Ziata Green Valley of Russian River Pinot Noir. The second entrée, beef tenderloin with blackberry and port sauce, rosemary potato gnocchiandrootvegetables,is enhanced by the Ziata Meteor Vineyard Napa Valley Cabaret Sauvignon.
And for the final course, dessert, indulge in a German chocolate mousse bombe
featuring dark chocolate, coconut, pecan and devil’s food cake. This luscious offering is paired with Ziata Mia Madre Red Blend.
The wine dinner is $99 per person.

mixed with a pesto of arugula and pistachio and shaved summer truffle. The whole dish is bright, perfect for summertime dining. There is shrimp scampi, crab-stuffed flounder and Florida grouper, which sits atop a wonderful serving of corn spatzle with peas, bacon and roasted corn.
When it comes to steaks, USDA prime cuts are featured. Filet mignon, New York strip, prime rib and more are offered, along with signature steaks, including the tomahawk for two carved tableside and the Japanese A5 Wagyu strip loin. Steaks can be topped with shrimp, garlic-butter crabmeat, black truffle butter and much
more. There is also Scarlet’s bacon jam, which adds the right amount of bacony goodness to any cut.

oysters, clams and mussels,
and sides that can easily
be shared. Duck fat fries,
lobster mac and cheese
and creamed spinach are
just a few of the favorites.
Desserts, made on property, are also to 3 p.m.
Whether sharing appetizers, enjoying a chef’s specialty or indulging in a steak cooked just right, this Scarlet Pearl restaurant is the perfect place to relax and enjoy.
Scarlet’s Steaks & Seafood is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.
On Sundays, a jazz brunch can be enjoyed from 10 a.m.
