MISSISSIPPI — Labor Day is always the first Monday in September, and this year that happens to be Monday, Sept. 4. But, why only have one day for Labor Day fun, when a whole weekend is even better — and that weekend starts Friday, Sept. 1.
Many of your favorite casinos are celebrating Labor Day all weekend long with extra points, parties, and giveaways. For those with giveaways during the weekend, the entry earning period could be in August. For example, Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort and Palace Casino Resort both have players earning entries now for their Labor Day giveaways.
Here are just a few of the events happening the first weekend in September coinciding with Labor Day Weekend.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast
Celebrate the end of summer with a splash and the chance to dive into a new tier status at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. A 10-times tier credit multiplier will be offered Tuesday through Friday, Aug. 29-Sept. 1. This rare 10-times multiplier only happens once a year — and that is now. Players club members can activate their multiplier at any special events kiosk starting on Aug. 29. Earning and activation ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 1.
Palace Casino Resort
Palace Casino Resort is hosting the Labor Day Weekend Cash & Power Play Giveaway, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 1-3. Players club members are earning entries now for a chance to win. Receive one free entry and one entry for every 50 slot points earned or with a table games equivalent. Visit the kiosk for drawing check in one hour prior to each drawing.
On Sept. 1-2, 36 winners will be selected from 8 to 10:40 p.m. to receive $100 in Power Play. At 11 p.m. on Sept. 1, four winners will get $500 cash, while on Sept. 2, four winners will get $750 cash.

Earn points to get gifts
MISSISSIPPI — Belonging to a players club can lead to certain perks, one of those being the chance to receive gifts from the casino. Players who earn a set amount of points in August can receive items — and this month, kitchen appliances and cookware top the list.
It’s rather easy to get these gifts of the month. Be sure to have your club card properly inserted in the slot machine or give the card to pit personnel when playing table games to accumulate points for the exciting gifts. Points and rated play will add up, and those points will lead the way to getting
the special items.

Beau Rivage is hosting the Parini Gift Giveaway in August. Players club members who earn 2,000 MGM Rewards points on on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of the promotional period qualify for a Parini kitchen gift. Points must be earned between 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and 7:50 p.m. Wednesday. After earning the points, print a gift voucher at any MGM Rewards kiosk and redeem the voucher at the events desk by 8 p.m. each day. A Parini French press is the gift Aug. 8-9, while a three- piece canister set is the Aug. 15-16 gift. An electric coffee grinder is the Aug. 22-23 gift, and on Aug. 29-30, the gift is a Parini cordless kettle. There is a limit of one gift per week, while supplies last.
Anchor Hocking has glassware that stands the test of time, and players at Boomtown Casino
Biloxi can earn points for a piece of the collection in the Anchor Hocking Gift Giveaway. Beginning Aug. 6, earn points Sundays or Wednesdays to receive an item. After earning 100 points from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays, or from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, print a ticket at any kiosk to redeem for a gift. Limited supplies available.
Cook happy and eat happier with the Kitchen Made Easy Gift Giveaway at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. Earn points select Sundays or Wednesdays to receive an item. After earning 100 points from1to5p.m.Sundays,or4to8
p.m. Wednesdays, print a voucher at any kiosk and then pick up a gift.
At Bally’s Vicksburg, players club members are earning points in August for a
collection of pots and pans. Players who have $250 coin-in on Sundays can swipe at any promotional kiosk to print a ticket to be redeemed at the Riverroom between 1 and 5 p.m. Gifts include a black and gold 3.5 quart saute pan, 4.5 quart ceramic stock pot, 10.5 inch fry pan and a 2 quart sauce pan. All pots and pans come with matching lids. One gift per person each week.
At WaterView Casino Hotel, players can earn points in August to get gifts in the Earn & Get Gift Giveaway. Each Friday, MyEdge cardholders who earn 75 points can swipe at any promotional kiosk for a ticket. Redeem the ticket in the Event Center to receive a gift, including a waffle bow maker, milkshake mixer, hand mixer and immersion blender. The gift giveaway each Friday takes place from 3 to 7 p.m.
