 CASINO DINING GUIDE
Morton’s The Steakhouse, from Page 19
were not disappointed there. They serve USDA Prime steaks, including filet mignon in two sizes, bone-in ribeye, Manhattan cut, New York strip and porterhouse. Featured cuts include the Wagyu filet, the 18-ounce dry-aged Kansas City strip and the 16-ounce Cajun ribeye.
Coming highly recommended was the Cajun ribeye, which we learned is marinated in-house for 48 to 60 hours. Paprika, garlic and onion powder are just a few of the seasonings used that give the perfectly cooked steak a little bit of a kick while not overpowering the natural flavor of the meat.
A selection of upgrades are also available, including Morton’s
steakhouse sauce,
blue cheese butter and
with bok choy and micro-greens and is sure to be a favorite of fish lovers.
The list of sides is plentiful and includes grilled asparagus, sour cream mashed potatoes, thick-cut onion rings, baked corn soufflé, sautéed spinach and mushrooms and loaded baked potato. Signature sides, along with the lobster ravioli, are lobster macaroni and cheese, herb-roasted cauliflower and smoked Gouda and bacon au gratin potatoes. Sautéed Brussels sprouts with bacon, creamed spinach and the scrumptious matchstick Parmesan and truffle fries were our choices, each one just as good

For the ribeye, we
chose to have it Oscar
style, meaning it came
topped with crab
meat and asparagus in
a rich béarnaise sauce. While each bite of the ribeye was delicious unto itself, this upgrade really made it that much more special.
There are several chef’s selections, as well, such as shrimp scampi, lobster tails and Ora King salmon. The miso-marinated sea bass, a tender, white meat fish, was our second entrée and a wonderful choice. The salty flavor of the miso elevated the flavor of sea bass. The dish is served in a tasty broth
as the next.
With the
generous portions served at Morton’s, it was easy to see why so many were getting leftovers wrapped up to go. We were in that
group as there was no way we could finish our meals, especially with Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake on the horizon. Served with fresh vanilla bean ice cream, each molten fudge-filled chocolate cake is baked fresh to order. We were glad we boxed up some of our meal as we greedily ate this luscious treat that was too good to pass up.
While not there for a celebration,

everything about our Morton’s visit was a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is some of the best. Maybe our dinner was a celebration, after all.
Morton’s The Steakhouse opens daily starting at 5 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (228) 436-8800.
