Casinos turn pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
MISSISSIPPI — October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and casinos are getting in the pink. There are special drinks and food, pink layouts on table games and the return of the popular Bras Along the Bridge event in Vicksburg.
At Treasure Bay, blu turns
pink in October for a special fundraiser. Raise a glass in
support as the lounge
features a custom Drink
Pink menu. These pink
cocktails will be available
throughout the month
with proceeds from each one
sold benefiting the American
Cancer Society. Drinks include the Jumbo Pink’s Bloody Mary, which includes jumbo pink shrimp, olives, bacon and pickled green beans with Absolut vodka and Zing Zang.
In addition to the special menu, the lounge will transform from its usual blue
hue to a bold pink as another way to show support for all those affected by this disease. Located on the ninth floor, blu is open daily 4 p.m. to midnight.
New this year is a special pink menu at The Den. Throughout October, the à la carte menu features Argentinian Pink Shrimp Cocktail, Grouper and Argentinian Pink Shrimp with fettuccine, and New York-style cheesecake with
strawberry sour cream topping. Fresh-squeezed pink
lemonade will be available all day with proceeds
from each one sold also benefiting the American Cancer Society.
The Den is located adjacent to blu on the ninth floor and is open daily 7a.m.to2a.m.
In D’Iberville, Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort is changing their table
game layouts to pink for October.
And, Riverwalk Casino Hotel is bringing back the Bras Along the Bridge campaign. The Vicksburg resort will be collecting bras throughout the month. For every bra received, Riverwalk will donate
$1 to the American Cancer Society.
With Riverwalk’s Sharing is Caring program even more money will be given to the American Cancer Society. Everyone who donates $5 cash will get $10 BonusPlay. There is a limit of one donation per day per players club member, but players can donate daily to help the American Cancer Society make a difference to those
struggling with cancer. Visit your favorite casino to see what they are doing during National Breast
Cancer Awareness Month.
