 Gold Strike names Dean Rubin SVP/GM
TUNICA — Dean Rubin
has been named senior vice president and general manager of Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica.
Rubin has more than
30 years of experience in
the gaming and hospitality industry. Most recently, he served as the director of hospitality at Cherokee Casino
& Hotel Roland, a Cherokee Nation Entertainment resort destination in eastern Oklahoma.

Rubin has served as a guest lecturer at the University in Switzerland,
College of DuPage and Columbia College teaching students about the hospitality industry. He’s served on the board of the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association and as the vice president of the Greater Grays Harbor United Way in Washington. Rubin is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston.

GREENVILLE — Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa has announced recent employee promotions and new hires.
Marvin Spencer was promoted to table games casino shift manager. Spencer has more than 20 years of hospitality and casino experience.
Malcoum Kent was promoted to assistant security supervisor. Kent joined the Harlow’s team in 2021 as a security officer.
Rozenia Hannah was recently promoted to revenue audit supervisor. Hannah has a
vast knowledge of the gaming industry from surveillance, slots, cage, and credit and finance.

James Butler
      She has been at Harlow’s Casino for nine years.
   Vernon Brooks
Harlow’s hired James Butler in June 2023 as an information technology tech. Butler has more than 20 years of military experience and is a veteran of the United States Navy.
Vernon Brooks also joined the Harlow’s team in June as an assistant security supervisor. He has a background in law enforcement.

BILOXI — Harrah’s Gulf Coast announced the appointment
of Christopher “Chris” Bowe as director of finance.
Bowe began
his career
with Caesars
Entertainment
in 2016 as a
revenue auditor
at Harrah’s New Orleans where
he was promoted multiple times taking on the roles of lead auditor and accounting supervisor. He later moved to Northwest Louisiana where he worked as the financial controller for Horseshoe Bossier City.
While raised in Binghamton, New York, Bowe’s roots are in southern Mississippi. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi receiving both his undergraduate and MBA degrees in finance. Bowe later moved to New Orleans, where he received an MBA in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
