Special dinner held to announce top crewmembers at Treasure Bay
BILOXI — Treasure Bay announced the top crewmembers of 2023. Steven McLean, slot department, was named Crewmember of the Year and Niyona Noble, food and beverage, was awarded Supervisor of the Year. The announcement was made during a special dinner honoring all Crewmember and Supervisor of the Quarter winners.
McLean was lauded for being instrumental in keeping the slot department running. “Maintaining our (slot) machines, covering shifts when there are staffing issues, and just recently stepping up to take on additional duties while the department manager was out are just a few examples of how Steven will
go above and beyond in all things. But that’s just who he is. Dependable, hardworking and willing to help out anyway that he can,” said Jamie Mitchell, director of casino operations
“Chef Niyona has the respect and admiration of everyone on her team,” said Kim Dunaway, director of hospitality services. “From the food runners to the cooks, she is important to each of them and important to us. She is a great leader, trainer and counselor who gives them the tools to get the job done. Niyona gives 100% to everything she does.”
Nominees James Brumfield, Jaleha Echols, David Martino, Angela Matthews, Rosheena Morrisette and Vickie Scott each received a special gift card. Both winners received a cash award and an engraved trophy.
“This is a very special group. Every one of these crewmembers embodies our commitment to great guest service and serves as positive role models each and every day,” said Susan Varnes, president and COO. “We are fortunate
to have these individuals on our team and grateful for their commitment and the examples they set for all around them.”
