Dining
O n the Mississippi Gulf Coast dining
is truly a pleasure and long standing tradition. The area is known for its extensive array of cuisine. But it’s not just the long list of places
to dine; it’s all about
the quality and variety. We have something to please all palates. Come hungry and we promise you’ll leave fulfilled
and with memories of outstanding meals. Fresh seafood is a
mainstay of this region. The area’s rich culinary history is a gumbo of contributions from the many cultures. Parts
of the Gulf Coast were settled by the French more than 300 years ago. Their cuisine melded with Native Americans and then the Spanish when they arrived. As people from
Italy, Ireland, the Balkans, Vietnam, Central and South America and other places came
to these shores, their food became part of the delicious mix that
is now Mississippi Gulf Coast dining. A part of the dining scene is most definitely Cajun and Creole dishes that are popular with visitors.
In addition to the endless variety of dishes, there is a range in ambiance and
prices. There are white tablecloth restaurants
as well as beach-side, wear-your-flip-flops kind of casual places and everything in between. The dining atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food satisfying.
Peruse the restaurant section and enjoy
the many dining experiences.
