• While the national hotel room occupancy rate is down 33.2%, Coastal Mississippi is faring much better, leading the nation in occupancy. On the coast in the Magnolia State, room occupancy is down just 10.2%. Statewide, room occupancy is down by 16.8 percent in Mississippi.
• People from around the world continue to come to Mississippi, discovering it to be a great place to visit with much to offer. Visitors  nd everything from great food to history and literature to the blues and gaming entertainment. Every community in the Magnolia State has its own story to share. Along the Gulf Coast, the $100-million-plus Mississippi Aquarium recently opened, providing guests with another exciting amenity.
• Sports betting continues to be popular for visitors and is bringing more people to the state. When people come to the casinos to place their bets, they’re not only visiting the sportsbooks, but also stopping on the casino  oor, booking hotel rooms, shopping and enjoying dining options.
