4 OCEAN SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI 2018 www.oceanspringschamber.com
I want to personally welcome you to our great American
Main Street community! Ocean Springs, Mississippi, situated on the Mississippi Gulf Coast overlooking the Gulf of Mexico is a quaint, cottage community known for
its artsy vibe and award winning
festivals. This community is home
to hundreds of unique and
eclectic shops, restaurants and
galleries surrounded by bayous
and natural beauty. Live oak trees
and savannah pines, Gulf Islands
National Seashore Park and local
blueways and bicycle trails make
year round opportunities. The
Chester McPherson Pier and Front
Beach are ideal locations to spend time with your family fishing or sunbathing on our sandy beach.
We enjoy a fun time on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Ocean Springs, we have monthly festivals and events that you can plan your whole trip around. The Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival presented by Blue Moon in November boasts nearly 500 quality arts, crafts, food vendors and musical entertainment like no other. Cruisin’ the Coast in October fills our oak tree lined streets with classic cars from all over the U.S. Mardi Gras season in January and February features king cake contests, parades and entertainment. Food Month in May showcases our more than 100 restaurants, bars & night live venues the Taste of Ocean Springs Food & Wine Festival, Free Food Fridays and Ocean Springs Restaurant Week.
The Red, White & Blueberry Festival in June gives you some refreshing opportunities with ice cream, Fresh Market vendors and a community wide celebration. Each month finds entertaining and culturally fun activities throughout town.
So, I invite you to stop by our town’s Visitor Center upon your arrival and gather more information on our beautiful community. I hope this guide will help you plan your visit providing comprehensive listings of local lodging, shopping, dining and nightlife options while you spend some time with us. #ILoveOS
