   BESTOFSHOWSTEVE DARK
          Every year, talented artists from all around the country display their works at the Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival. Choosing the festival winners is a hard job, but every year the judges walk the festival to evaluate the booths and choose winners for the various categories. The winning artists received cash prizes and plaques complete with Shearwater tiles to display at their booth.
The 2021 Winners at the 43rd Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival include:
AWARD OF
PETER ANDERSON LEGACY AWARD
SUZANNE JENSEN
  BEST OF SHOW:
Presented by Blue Moon, this award went to Steve Dark of Gulf Shores, Alabama for his sculptured art of characters made with stoneware clay.
PETER ANDERSON LEGACY AWARD:
2021’s honoree was Suzanne Jensen of Montgomery, Alabama for her hand built lidded clay boxes.
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE:
This award was presented to George Jones, Jr. of Florence, Alabama for his hand made brooms.
AWARD FOR THE CREATIVE ARTS:
Angelique Juneau of Slidell, Louisiana won this award for her organic and fantastical designed jewelry.
BOOTH AWARD:
Brook Russell of Fairhope, Alabama was awarded this honor for her fashion illustrated artwork on canvas.
BLUE MOON ART PROJECT
For years, the Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival has partnered with Blue Moon beer for the Blue Moon Art Project. Local artists are invited to paint their interpretations of Blue Moon. This year, the winners are:
BLUE MOON ART PROJECT WINNER:
Mississippian Adam Plitt won with his piece “Pink Pelican Playground.” It will be displayed prominently on signage, souvenirs, and more this year.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD:
Ezekiel Dymen of Gulfport was a crowd favorite with “Around the Moon.”
