JACQUELINE GILICH WILSON
Jacqueline Gilich Wilson stumbled upon her job at Biloxi Beach Resort Rentals (BBRR) and never looked back. She started her career there as the accounts manager in April of 2011 and now owns and operates the luxury vacation rental company.
“I truly enjoy working in the numbers,” she says of her job. “When I am at my desk looking at our financials, going between three different softwares, that is what I love! Being with my team is another great part of my job. It never feels like 'work' – we always have fun!”
Wilson knows the importance of giving back to the community and does her best to support local philanthropies, especially young people. “I always try to give back in some way, shape, or form,” she says. “This past year I had two students personally email me asking for a donation; one was a cheerleader the other a band member. They both hand wrote thank you notes, which blew me away! I love to give back to our children – they are the future.”
Originally from Landshtul, Germany, Wilson has lived in the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1989 when her family returned home to Biloxi. “This is my home,” she says. “I could not imagine another place that would fill my heart with so much joy. We have
some of the best weather, beaches, food, and entertainment. Being able to share this little piece of Heaven with tourists is amazing. So many people do not know Mississippi has a beach!”
Wilson says it takes a lot to keep BBRR running while balancing her family life. “I am just one person that makes up the puzzle of BBRR. There is a team of 30 people who make our company run each and every day! Without this team I could not be a mother or a wife like my family needs,” she says.
BBRR employees are like family to Wilson, who goes above and beyond to ensure they have the flexibility to take off work to be with their loved ones, especially during the holidays. Letting her staff know she values them and all that they do for BBRR is a top priority for Wilson.
“My family supports me in all of my craziness!” she says. “My 10-year-old daughter Caroline Jaye loves to see me in action.
She loves going to the office, and she even helps out. Aaron, my husband of 13 years, has also jumped into the business. Anything I need, he is always there!
When not spending time with her family and their fur babies Maggie and Lucky, Wilson enjoys boating, basketball, and working out at B.E.Fit.
