CYNTHIA SUTTON
If you’ve spent any time in the historic arts community known
as Ocean Springs, you’ve probably seen Cynthia Sutton. A native to the city, Sutton serves as the executive director for the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce – Main Street – Tourism Bureau. She overseas and manages all efforts for the three tier organization including creating, planning, and executing community events, including the award-winning Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival.
“I feel this job and the organization as a whole make a difference in the lives of those who pass through Ocean Springs and help provide a great quality of life to Coastal Mississippi residents and visitors alike,” she says. “This is the kind of job that helps provide opportunities for families to have a wonderful vacation experience, business owners to thrive and support their families, and gives artists the opportunity to create. What I like most about what I do is seeing the smiles on the faces of family members, artists, and business owners.”

KRISTINA GRAHAM
Ever since she was a little girl, Kristina Graham has always been drawn to fashion. “I started modeling at the age of 12 and the industry was so intriguing,” said the Tribe Boutique owner. “After I graduated high school, I moved to New York to submerge myself in the fashion culture and attend school for fashion merchandising.”
While living in New York, Graham found out her military mother was being relocated for work and her sister would have to give up her softball career. “So I moved home to look after my sister so that she could stay in school here.”
After some time, Graham met her husband and decided
to plant roots on the Coast. “In South Mississippi, fashion opportunities are limited, so I opened my own store,” she said. “One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
Graham says that her family is her best quality. “I come from a tight-knit family – we do everything together! I have a wonderful husband, Mike, and two bonus kids, Thomas and Maggie. We also have two dogs and a cat.”
