Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s Women [re]Build is a response to the great need for home repairs in our community. Twelve individuals and companies rallied together to meet the need to return homes to safe, sanitary, secure conditions, and collectively raised more
than $53,559!
The women responsible for this amazing outcome,
also known as “Rosies” in honor of Rosie the Riveter
and her drive to serve the community, include Habitat Mississippi Gulf Coast board members, Stacey Miles, Mississippi Power Company and Monica Walker, Hope Credit Union; Mary Martha Henson, Jackson County Economic Development Foundation; Anita Brooks, Geiger Promotional Products; Sherri Carr Bevis, Singing River Hospital System; Dr. Angela Wingfield, The Dermatology Clinic, PLLC; Bridget Turan, Gulf Coast Community Foundation Volunteer Hub; Chanelle Mailes, Keesler Federal Credit Union; Regina Charlot, City of Pass Christian Alderwoman; LuAnn Pappas, Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort; Kim Goetz, IP Casino Resort Spa. Ingalls Shipbuilding also served as a sponsor of the initiative.
The fundraising goal for each Rosie was $5,000. A special thank you to Anita Brooks, Stacey Miles and Monica Walker for reaching their goals. Dr. Angela Wingfield more than doubled her goal, and LuAnn Pappas tripled hers! “It is wonderful to know we
can make a difference in someone’s life and in our community – Scarlet Pearl Cares,” says LuAnn Pappas. And what a difference these ladies will make!
Together these ladies collectively
raised more than $53,559!
