As the developers, Goldin said it was important to collaborate with companies who shared the same family-first values as Florence Gardens, and that mindset led to McMurphy Homes who used the same mindset in finding Foster’s Air Conditioning and Heating.
“We handle the land development side, and we partner with builders and other companies for certain phases,” Goldin said. “We had McMurphy Homes come on board and they brought in Foster’s. When you have three multi-generation family businesses working together, it adds different aspects and knowledge and a lot of experience and history.”
Bo McMurphy of McMurphy Homes in Biloxi said he’s known the Goldin family for years and their impeccable reputation and stellar projects made the homebuilders want to be a part of the Magnolia District project. “They are just really classy people, very ethical,” McMurphy said. “We thought it was a great opportunity that we could not
pass up.”
McMurphy knew of Foster’s impeccable
reputation and multi-generational ownership
and immediately sought to convince Foster’s to work with them in new home construction and to their delight, Foster’s agreed. “When we looked at creating this new community at the Magnolia District, we knew we wanted them involved,” Bo McMurphy said.
Brad Foster, sales manager for Foster’s in Gautier, said all three teams collaborated, tossed out ideas and suggestions, and the rest was history. “We appreciated the vision and customer-centered focus of the Goldins and McMurphys, and I believe they valued that same ethic in our proposal,” Foster said. “It’s an exciting project that we are happy to be involved in.”
And since great minds think alike, let’s meet the family business ambassadors designing the Magnolia District.
