The holiday spirit is in full swing at Beau Rivage with events for all ages.
Christmas in the Air is back by popular demand December 12-26. The Broadway-style holiday spectacular depicts a snow globe come to life through classic holiday songs and modern favorites performed by world-class singers and high-kicking, Rockette-style dancers. The legendary Christmas decorations are always a favorite and will be on display through January 6.
This season’s décor features larger-than- life nutcrackers, magnificent oversized ornaments, classic winter scenes, more than 200 frost-covered trees, thousands of red poinsettias and Santa’s sleigh and reindeer soaring over the atrium leading
to a stunning 20-foot Christmas tree. The scene offers outstanding opportunities to capture photos with family and friends.
The Holiday Open House with Artisan Trunk Show will be in the retail promenade and the hotel second level retail area December 7-11, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Beau Rivage’s Brunch with Santa has become a Gulf Coast tradition. The upscale holiday brunch in BR Prime will take place on December 5 with four seating times: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Reservations are required. To book, visit beaurivage.com/ Santa. Children will meet Santa and his friends, receive a keepsake gift and a commemorative photo with Santa.

Community award winners were announced at the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce’s Business & Industry Awards Gala. The event was held at Hollywood Casino with music by the Kelsey Moran Band. The welcome and invocation were given by Chamber President Jason Chiniche.
“Each year, we celebrate our citizens and businesses because they truly are the backbone of our economy and quality of life,” said Tish Williams, executive director of the Chamber. “It’s truly our citizens and those who own businesses here who create this envious sense of place we’re lucky enough to call home.”
The Community Award of Excellence 16 | December 2021
went to The Arts, Hancock County;
the Industrial Award of Excellence was awarded to the Port Bienville Short Line Railroad; and the Businesses of the Year included Dan B. Murphy’s Restaurant, Rouse’s Market, Benfatti Construction, and Jourdan River Steamer.
Named Outstanding Citizens were Cami Cornfoot, Penelope Wallace Crawford, Rhonda Aime Gamble, Janice Guido, Paul Harris, Connie Lyons, Donna Cowart Martin, Lindsey Lind, Catherine and Jim MacPhaille, Kristen Tusa, and Dina Hitt Rosetti.
Dina Hitt Rosetti, owner of Rosetti’s Liquor Barrel, was chose as the Citizen of the Year.
