Thais gives us some insight into where we can get our food from. She says, “Look for local farmers markets and people that are directly involved with the raising of the animals – they generally have better quality food.”
Especially down here on the Gulf Coast, there

With so many of the foods and products we buy, there can be some harmful chemicals in them that if we knew what they were, we would probably avoid them. That’s why we asked local health expert, Thais Araujo, owner of Breathe, Move, Eat, a healthy lifestyle company in D’Iberville, to give
us some tips on what to look for. She says, “Having less things on the ingredients list is best practice.”
When there’s a huge list of ingredients, it’s usually filled with all sorts of junk that our bodies do not want. This goes for everything from household cleaners to cereal options. We can think of it as “less is more.” There are good brands out there, like Meyers and Dr. Bronner’s, that don’t have
