To seal the deal with our beloved, there is one special moment that needs to take place. It’s a tradition that has been passed down throughout history and leaves men and women alike nervous and excited: the proposal.
Cliff Horne, owner of Horne Custom Jewelry on Pass Road
in Gulfport is here to help. He and his family are helping grooms-to-be make custom engagement rings for their big moment. They offer other services as well, such as jewelry repair, refurbishment, custom designs, and more.
When people come to Horne, they’re looking for help with a special piece of jewelry. It can be refurbishing a ring that will be passed down or designing a new one. Either way, it’s often sentimental and close to his customers’ hearts. He says, “When working with the groom-to-be, it involves a little bit of
counseling. I love connecting with people and helping my
customers, so it’s a joy to help them relax and enjoy their time here.”
Horne
says, “My

part of my
job is getting
to interact with
people. Having this
place for over a year and
a half, I’ve had a chance to interact with new and old customers. When people come here, it’s for a happy reason, like a proposal, anniversary, or celebration.
In most professions, you can catch
people on a good or bad day, but here
it’s always a positive interaction. This
is one of the few professions where you
can make people cry and it’s a good
thing.”
Horne Custom Jewelry is a family owned business run by Cliff Horne himself, his wife Melissa, and daughter Laney. In a world that has seen so much divorce, he hopes that coming in and seeing a loving family like his can give his customers hope that their love can last.
