COAST NOTE
THE NEW BACOT
Bacot McCarty Foundation Undergoes a Rebrand
Chances are you’ve heard of the Bacot McCarty Foundation. Or you’ve heard of their mega nonprofit’s events, such as Renaissance the Runway and The Jolly.
Recently, the organization has gone through a rebrand. “We wanted to keep up with the times, and something more representative of the entire Gulf Coast
to help facilitate our mission across the
Coast,” Executive Director of the newly renamed Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi, Todd Trenchard, explains.
Trenchard feels fortunate to have such an outpouring of community support: “With this support, we can continue to help make
a difference in the lives
of so many.” The Bacot Foundation’s main goal
is to enhance lives in
the Gulf Coast region
with a focus on youth,
education, the arts, and
other worthy causes. The
Bacot Foundation is the
Coastal leader in helping to
identify and address various
needs throughout the Gulf Coast region. The Foundation is very community oriented with donations going back into the local community.
“For years, we were known as a Jackson County
entity, and had added a well-known local community servant to our name: Jolly McCarty,” Trenchard explains. “We felt that we would go back to the original name to reflect our expansion and geographical reach across the Gulf Coast. The
name change and new logo would help us better represent who we are and who we serve.” The Bacot Foundation is forever grateful to the McCarty family for allowing us to use the name for so many years. “Moving forward, we are committed to providing the same service and community
events that bring us together.”
“Our family has been honored and
privileged to assist with this endeavor,” said a representative
of the McCarty family. “We have been amazed by the
accomplishments the foundation has achieved
and pray for its continued success as the
foundation moves into the future. Because of
the generosity, passion, and trust of our local
community, we are confident that the best
is yet to come.” Trenchard credits local
designer Dara Parker with the inspiration and
creation of the new logo. “Dara presented us with
some new and unique ideas that represent and tie into our mission,” Trenchard says. “It helps brand us into
the future!”
The Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi
will continue to provide services the community has come to expect by finding the needs and resources across South Mississippi. “We could never do this without the generous support of the people.”
