11: Arts Under the Dome: Charlie Halloran and the Tropicales

Halloran’s band, the Tropicales, brings the tropics to life. The Tropicales prove that they have the goods to deliver a rollicking time via their New Orleans- based sound, directly influenced by 1950s-era Trinidad and the French Caribbean offerings.

18: Sit, Stay, READ! Children’s Reading Program, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Come read with the dogs! Visiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi provides a

23: Taste of South Mississippi 5:30-8 p.m.
Join The Salvation Army Kroc Center
for its largest fundraiser of the year! There will be over 20 types of cuisine, so this culinary adventure will introduce you to lots of new and exciting treats, and some good old fashioned Southern favorites. 25: Annual Gulf Coast
Oyster Cook-Off
Come eat some of the best oysters on the coast! There will also be arts and crafts, live entertainment, and a Corvette car show! Children 12 and under are free. Tickets purchased at the gate are $10.
If you want to eat your way through the festival, admission and 12 Oyster Cook-Off sampling tickets are $20.

NOLA String Kings, 7-9 p.m.
The NOLA String Kings are John Rankin, Don Vappie, and Matt Rhody, three string musicians playing originals and New Orleans jazz mixed with Latin, Creole, and Americana influences. 25: Adult Prom, 7 p.m.-12 a.m.
No matter how long it’s been since your own prom, you’re cordially invited to this reinvested version of the high school classic! And while you’re having a blast, you’ll

Set amongst the live oaks of downtown, more than 100 artists, crafters and plant vendors will celebrate spring offering paintings, pottery, jewelry, plants, and much more. Live music, artist demonstrations, and educational sessions will be provided by regional artists and gardeners.
