Since 1988, Strong Roofing has been serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Though much has changed since then, their dedication to customized, personal roofing has not.
Strong Roofing prides itself on providing a full, in-person consultation, just like they always have. President Burt Goltz says that this is what sets them apart – explaining all of the options fully so that clients can make an informed decision, fully confident in both the Strong Roofing team and the end product they will receive. Thirty-five years and thousands of roofs later, their success speaks for itself.
“We are the oldest local factory-certified contractor for GAF shingles, as well as the highest rated on the Coast among both GAF and Owens Corning Preferred Contractors,” says Goltz.
In addition to local acclaim, Strong Roofing has been named a “Best of the Best” National Award Winner three years in a row. “Being recognized for three straight years shows that third parties will verify our background and accomplishments in the industry,” Goltz says. “We are pleased to have earned the endorsement of others in our field.”

We have always stressed that we will treat
you like family and have done so for 35 years.”
Goltz himself retired early after building commercial buildings throughout the Southwest, but quickly realized how underserved the residential market was. “It had a bad reputation with the Better Business Bureau as having the highest complaints of all businesses around. I spent 18 years working with companies who stressed integrity and trust, so I knew no other way to conduct business.
I then decided to take my background and apply it to the residential side of the roofing industry. Trust, integrity, customer service, and transparency was our foundation.”
That foundation served them well, especially after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Coast. “The sheer volume of clients we handled, including settling their insurance claims, was very satisfying,” said Goltz. Hundreds of our neighbors had their homes rebuilt by my company, and our knowledge of the processes required to settle their claims was invaluable to them. We were rebuilding
