Trending Now: Children’s Clothes
story by Barbara Travis
Kids love cool, trendy clothes just as much as their
parents do. The good news is that this season’s fun and creative youth fashions are packed full of color, graphic
tees, decked-out denim, look-at-me leggings, snazzy
sneakers, lazy-day loafers, and lots of other fun stuff that
top every kid’s style chart, but won’t break the bank. In
fact, some of the hottest kids’ styles can be found in local department stores and children’s boutiques for very easy on the budget prices. Jump in, join the fun, and make your young ones smile while dressing them for home, school, or play.
            LOTS OF COLOR
Kids’ clothing colors are often bold and bright because that’s what children and young people like. Children are energized by color, so it makes sense that what they wear reflects their mood. Primary colors like yellow, red, and orange are attractive to children and emote energy while cool colors like shades of blue, green, and purple emote calmness and relaxation. Color choice matters; choose it well.
SNAZZY SNEAKERS
Sneakers are at the forefront of the latest footwear show for kids. The newest designs showcase bright neon hues, geometric prints, and sparkles. There’s nothing easier to wear or easier to care for than sneakers. They can be worn with everything from jeans and shorts to skirts and dresses. The latest kiddo versions run the design gamut from classic standard lace-ups to the glitter embellished.
HEADBANDS STILL HOT
Headbands remain hot for spring. They’re great finishing touches for young girls’ outfits and come in a wide range of styles and colors. They’re fun to wear and easy to pair with any outfit. Plain or embellished, headbands are fashionable accessories that kids love to collect and showcase.
COMFORT RULES
Regardless of the changes in children’s clothing trends, comfort is key. Kids are in constant motion, so their clothes must go with their energetic flow. If they aren’t comfortable with what they wear, they’ll balk at wearing it. If they like what they wear, getting them dressed every morning will be a much more enjoyable task. When shopping for your kids, focus on styles they like, comfort, color, and easy care. You’ll both be happy!
