Safe Haven Center for Domestic Violence is dedicated to providing a safe shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing resources, support, and a safe space
for victims to be rehabilitated and heal from their abusive situations.
Safe Haven was founded and launched in August of 2017. Annie Sanders is the founder and executive director and has worked hard developing lasting relationships and partnerships throughout the state of Mississippi and across the Gulf Coast in order to better serve the community. She has a background in banking, public speaking, the government sector, business strategy, and financial analysis.
Sanders has been recognized by the governor of Mississippi for her volunteer efforts in the community. As a survivor of over 10 years of domestic violence, she knows firsthand the sensitivity and the severity of these cases, and exactly the type of support these victims are in need of in order to regain their freedom from abuse.
Safe Haven has displayed the utmost professionalism, compassion, and empathy when engaging clients that have come from all different backgrounds seeking help and healing. It serves as a prime example
of an organization that has dedication, diligence, and a desire to serve others. Sanders has endured obstacles while forming Safe Haven, but her tenacious spirit drives her and her team to press on to serve the Mississippi Gulf Coast and provide a better life for victims and their children.
