Blue Bayou Bar & Grill is well known for its delicious dining, amazing views and friendly service. The Silver Slipper Casino Hotel restaurant, fine dining in a comfortable atmosphere, is loved by regulars and welcoming to newcomers.
Executive Chef David Gooch and
his team can be seen in the exhibition- style kitchen preparing everything from steaks and lamb to chargrilled oysters, pan-seared fish and seafood scampi. A new feature at Blue Bayou is the pork chop special every Thursday. The dinner features a 16-ounce center-cut pork chop with a spiced apple bourbon demi-glace served with vegetables and corn bread. Plus, enjoy a glass of house wine all for $42.
All meals come with hot bread accompanied by a dish of olive oil (imported from Tuscany), balsamic vinegar with shredded Parmesan cheese and garlic paste. Enjoy this treat while sipping a cocktail and taking in the
view or perusing the menu. Appetizers include jumbo crab claws, which come either fried or broiled; crab cakes; shrimp cocktail; or the creamy crab dip in a rich brie cheese sauce loaded with pieces of crab and served with toasted crostini. The broiled crab claws are served in a Parmesan herb and garlic butter sauce, perfect for bread dipping.
There are also plump and flavorful oysters on the half shell and oysters chargrilled with Blue Bayou butter, as well as seafood gumbo and a nightly soup selection.

the Bayou scampi. This delicious dish
is overflowing with the tastes of jumbo lump crab, crawfish and blackened jumbo shrimp tossed with roasted peppers, mushrooms and bourbon-caramelized onions all sitting on angel hair pasta that has been generously mixed with a Cajun butter sauce.
Steaks and featured entrees are served with salad choice or soup and vegetables, and there are several sides – including the Oscar-style roasted asparagus – to help round out the meal.
Whether trying something new or going with a best-loved dish, Blue Bayou Bar & Grill at Silver Slipper continues to please.
Prime beef is used for the rib eye and New York strip, giving the meat a rich, buttery taste. Steaks, including the
filet mignon in two sizes, are cooked
as ordered, tender and full of flavor. Add a topping for an extra bit of wow, with choices including Bearnaise sauce, Cabernet demi-glace, bleu cheese, caramelized onions, mushrooms and jumbo shrimp or lump crab.
Popular with diners is the rack of lamb – four pepper-crusted lamb chops with
a cherry-port demi-glace served with Danish bleu cheese whipped potatoes. The seasoned meat on the chops is melt- in-your-mouth good. Other featured entrees include fried shrimp and fried oysters, pan-seared fresh catch, and
coq au vin, a French dish of chicken simmered in a bacon and red wine demi- glace with tasso. The dish comes with Brabant potatoes and vegetables.
