SPECIAL ADVERTORIAL SECTION IN THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE
Women are leaders both in the home and at work, making up nearly 47 percent of the U.S. workforce. Each September, South Mississippi Living highlights
the efforts of these amazing ladies in a section dedicated to them: Women in Business. This special section allows female entrepreneurs and professionals to
put their names and faces out there.
This magazine in particular provides our readers with a comprehensive look
at the impressive accomplishments of the many female leaders on the Coast. Ads in Women in Business are profiles in an editorial style with insight into the
expertise, personality and professional standards of each woman. Through a targeted questionnaire, you’ll get to tell our 85,000 monthly print and digital
readers about yourself and your line of work.

Lynsey J. Cox,
M.D.
DRS. VICE & COX OB/GYN
11 Doctors Dr., Ocean Springs 228.334.5505 www.josephpaulvicemd.com
Dr. Lynsey Cox has been practicing for five years on the Gulf Coast, and previously served eight years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. Her last station was here at Keesler Air Force Base, where she and her family fell in love with the Mississippi Gulf Coast and decided to make it their permanent home. Dr. Cox still proudly serves as a Major in the Air Force Reserves.
As a board-certified OB/GYN and fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Cox has a passion to care and advocate for women of all ages, helping them to live their healthiest, happiest lives by providing family planning, infertility therapy, incontinence treatment, cancer screening, menopause therapy, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle management.
Dr. Cox was inspired to pursue obstetrics and gynecology while shadowing an anesthesiologist when she was just 15 years old. “I went with him to place an epidural in a young woman who was deaf, and the ob/gyn caring for her invited me back for the delivery later that evening,” Dr. Cox recalled. “Seeing the care and compassion they provided by making
sure she was comfortable and understood
the process of birthing a baby, despite their communication barrier, inspired me to pursue a career in medicine so that I could provide that same excellent care.”
Outside of work, Dr. Cox enjoys exploring the Gulf Coast with her husband, two young children, and mother. The families likes to run and ride bikes along the beach, eat at local restaurants, and attend festivals and shows.
