THE BOOTLEG HOWL
Hey y’all! Nicole here, your Gulf Coast Gal!
Nestled in Downtown Biloxi on Howard Avenue is the cutest cottage with surprises around every corner. Driving up to the historic home, you’ll notice a sign that says, “This must be the place.” They’ve got that right! The Bootleg Howl, as it’s affectionately named, is the perfect place for a weekend stay, private events, photography sessions, and so much more.
I recently stayed at the inspiring building and wanted to share a sneak peek with the South Mississippi Living readers!
The estate is conveniently minutes from the beach and just a short walk from great restaurants and attractions in downtown. The home boasts a sitting room, a music room, a library, three bedrooms, a formal dining room, a breakfast area, full kitchen, screened in back porch and one and a half baths. Let the exploring begin!
The front room has gorgeous windows, bright colors, a huge cactus, a Himalayan salt lamp, and a relaxed but minimalist feel. The left bedroom is an artist’s paradise. Bright windows, textiles, art supplies, and antiques line the room. Around the corner in this room is the entrance to the library that is the perfect space to wind down. The last bedroom boasts a nautical feel. This room has a canopy and a reading nook. Beautifully staged in the room during my visit was a clothing rack with swoon-worthy antique gowns. With all these amazing options, it’s no wonder one of the hardest decisions I had was deciding what room to sleep in!
The bathroom was luxurious and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing soak or after beach shower. The kitchen housed all the supplies for if I decided to stay in and cook. The back screened-in porch was the perfect place for breakfast and coffee. There was even more I didn’t get to enjoy, such as an outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, side courtyard, large outdoor garden area, and an outdoor table fit for royalty.
Every room of this home was beautifully curated and leaves you wanting to explore and experience more. Even though you feel like you are in a museum or art gallery, everything is free to be touched, read, and used. I hope you follow them on Instagram
