HOME back bay beauty
The kitchen has a bay-window dining area with a round glass table and gray leather chairs. It overlooks the swimming pool and bay beyond. There’s also a formal dining room on the front
of the house. It has a long wooden table and chairs covered in white leather. The walls have wainscoting of white with a textured gray wallpaper above.
Spinner is proud of the laundry room that she designed to accommodate gift wrapping and school and art projects along with doing the family laundry. There’s a locker for each child, a large marble topped center island and stainless steel tile on the walls. “We spend a lot of time in this room,” she says.
On the back of the house there’s an outdoor kitchen and dining room. In addition to the swimming pool, the back yard includes a treehouse, basketball court, a putting green and a pavilion with three fire pits. Soon the basketball court will sport an ‘Air Spinner’ design rather than the current Air Jordan.
The home’s addition includes a covered area to accommodate seating, dining and ping pong. An enclosed stairway leads to a huge party room. “I wanted it to be a floating staircase,” she says of the stainless steel stairway she designed.
The party room is a dazzler with glistening
white floors, walls and Mitchell Gold furniture
along with windows overlooking the bay and the
turf field. There’s a large screen TV, a custom-
made pool table and a corner bar. The turf field is
centered with a design of a Nittany Lion, the symbol of Penn State, Ivan Spinner’s alma mater. “The kids can play soccer on the turf field and a couple of times a week we do crossfit training here,” Kelly Spinner said.
A super large garage with an office for Ivan Spinner was also added to the home. This space houses his collection of cars. The upstairs office seems to be suspended above the display of cars. With glass on two sides, he can see both ends of the garage and all of its contents. There are two closed circuit televisions in the office; one is dedicated to the advanced security system of the Spinner home and the other one is dedicated to Spinner’s business.
On the garage level, there’s a Las Vegas style black-and-white checkered floor for the automobile collection that includes a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche turbo, Mercedes S550, Mercedes SLS AMG, Hell Cat, 1972 Ford Branco and a Jeep.
“Cars are my passion,” Ivan Spinner says. “They’re an investment. I collect cars instead of art.”
For getting about every day he prefers his F 250 truck but plans to display some of his collectibles at this fall’s Cruisin’ the Coast.
