Fishing’ Mayflies Can Cause A Feeding Frenzy When They Hatch

Radar indicated an enormous storm approaching, something coastal Mississippi residents fear the most, but the meteorologists reported no storm on this warm, sunny afternoon.
The “storm” turned out to be a swarm. When they swarm, mayflies gather in huge numbers and introduce massive amounts of protein into the food chain to feed various fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and other creatures.
