The martinis will be shaking, guests will be dancing, and wishes will be granted on July 9 at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino at the 18th Annual Martini Shakedown.
This “can’t miss” event is a Coast favorite and the largest fundraising event for Make-A-Wish Mississippi, South Mississippi with funds being used to help grant wishes to children with critical illnesses between the ages of two and a half to 18 years of age in the local area.
The Martini Shakedown is a fun, resort casual, exciting event featuring Magnificent Martini, a superb silent and live auction, and a New Orleans favorite, Band Camp, who will have the crowd dancing the night away.
“We have been so fortunate over the years to have the community support this event, and more importantly, our mission each year. We love to see everyone having a wonderful time, but it warms our hearts when they share why Make-A-Wish is so important to them and why they choose to support our cause and partner with us to make
wishes come true,” said Shellie Moses, South Mississippi director for Make-A-Wish Mississippi. “We know that wishes matter and make a huge difference in the lives of the children we serve, and this event allows us to share the stories of these amazing wish kids and their families with those in attendance and show them why their support is so important and where their funds are used.”
Last year’s event sold out, and Make-A-Wish is expecting this year’s event to do the same. A limited number of sponsorships are still available and tickets can be purchased by visiting www.shakedown.givesmart. com. And even if you are unable to attend, you can still participate by visiting the shakedown.givesmart website and bidding on those hot auction items or making a donation to help grant the wish of a local wish kid.
