Gulfport Museum of History
You can find this gem of a museum in the center of downtown Gulfport, in the Gulfport Train Depot.
The building itself is a sight to see with history around every corner, but within those walls there lie so many pieces specific to Gulfport. I just love looking at all the old photographs and seeing all the progress over the years!
Waveland Ground Zero Hurricane Museum
One of the reasons I love this community is its giving spirit, another one is its resiliency. That is no better displayed than at this museum. They have a
few permanent exhibits, a “discovery alley” for the kiddos, and often display traveling exhibits.
GI Museum
Another hidden gem is located off of Highway 57 on the Gautier/Ocean Springs line. It’s been here as
long as I can remember and is jam packed with so many items of memorabilia including an impressive collection of military vehicles.
Biloxi Fire Museum
Also located in a historic building, the Biloxi Fire Museum is right on Howard Avenue in a 1937 fire house. The museum contains exhibitions of many
historic photographs and antique fire equipment that documents the 120-year history of the Biloxi Fire Department. The vehicles are so cool to see and I find the Parade Hats (and their story) so fascinating!
Alice Moseley Folk Art & Antique Museum
This wonderful museum in Bay St. Louis boasts dozens of works of art by Alice Moseley. It also has a large collection of vintage bottles, Majolica vases,
depression glass, and antique everyday objects. So much to see!
Traintastic
This brand new museum in Gulfport is perfect for everyone, not just train fans! It’s a huge space with
tons to explore!.
