  STRONG The River City
country owned by the National Audubon Society. The Center is the educational gateway to exploring nature and bayou habitats by offering educational programming for school groups while featuring local nature themes, a step back in time with the historic trolley ticket booth and Scout Hut, and hands-on learning opportunities to fit your needs.
No two visits to PRAC are alike! As a natural habitat open year around, guests may be greeted by a flutter of Hummingbirds, Monarch Caterpillars feasting on Milkweed before spinning a chrysalis or the buzz of bees enjoying the blooms on the native plants. Daytime visitors can discover the outdoors on the nature trails with a loaned pair of binoculars, spot alligators off the bayou pier, enjoy the tranquility of birds feeding from a rocking chair, view local art in the gallery and make nature gift purchases in the gift shop.
Get up close and personal with nature and history by boarding a kayak for a three-hour, self-guided tour along Rhodes Bayou, Hodge Lake and Beardslee Lake, and venture out into the main
river where the sights, and smells, of a Pogey boat may be found. Osprey and Egrets offer air shows daily, and the mullet always make a splash.
As the city welcomes new leadership, citizens and visitors will soon realize improvements that make a larger impact on the waterfront area. Image and branding of the city is the target
of the Moss Point Main Street Board of Directors beginning with a welcoming mural that will greet southbound Main Street guests to the downtown area. Discussion is also underway for an additional mural above the City Hall parking lot and street-light banners for all seasons and reasons.
Join the journey into its fourth century as a city and help write the next chapters in the history of Moss Point.
