BILOXI MAIN STREET Receives Annual Awards
   The Mississippi Main Street Association (MMSA) celebrated achievements of Mississippi Main Street Communities at the 2022 annual awards presentation at The South Warehouse in downtown Jackson. Biloxi Main Street was honored with three awards.
The annual awards honor Main Street directors, board members, and volunteers and recognizes the most outstanding downtown development projects from Main Street communities in Mississippi.
MMSA Board President
Chris Chain of Renovations of Mississippi recognized award sponsors, annual investors, and a special guest before presiding over the general business meeting.
Thomas Gregory, MMSA
state coordinator, Jennifer Prather, director of community development, and Jeannie Zieren, director of communication and marketing, presented the awards.
Biloxi Main Street was given the following awards:
The Outstanding Large Adaptive Reuse Project Award is granted
to the best adaptive reuse of a large building that has outlived its former use. This was awarded to

Lee Young and Thomas Gregory.
Ground Zero Blues Club, and Lee Young accepted the award.
The Outstanding Business Expansion Award is granted to a business in a downtown district that has successfully expanded
its operations and contributed
to excellence in downtown revitalization. Biloxi Bicycle Works received this award, which was accepted by owner Bart Luther.
The Paul Coggin Trailblazer Award commemorates the commitment, time, and enthusiasm that Paul Coggin brought to the Mississippi Main Street Association. A special award was established in his honor and given to an outstanding local board member or volunteer who has been active in a downtown organization for a significant period of time, and who has contributed energy and dedication to downtown revitalization. Corey Christy was the recipient of this award.
In addition, Biloxi Main Street was recognized as a nationally accredited program, and Kay Miller was recognized for serving 20 years as the Biloxi Main Street Director in Biloxi.
