                  Celebrates 70 Years

‘Call the Redd Man’ is a well-known business slogan that’s been around for 70 years. Serving customers in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama since 1952, Redd Pest Solutions is now into the fourth generation of family members working in the business.
“Throughout the years, God has truly blessed our business and our Redd Pest family. We are very proud to be celebrating our 70th anniversary,” said President Gordon Redd, Jr.
Vice-President Eddie Brewer, Jr. says the company’s long- tenured, trustworthy, and dedicated employees are a key factor in Redd Pest’s longevity. “They make the difference and are the reason customers do business with us,” he said. “We strive to go above and beyond industry standards to ensure each Redd Man is a highly trained pest management professional. Each employee is part of our family.
“The average tenure for a Redd employee is more than 12 years. We believe it’s the family culture and atmosphere that instills that dedication and tenure.”
Not content to rest on its history, Redd Pest stays abreast
of changing methods. “Our team currently includes three entomologists, and our leadership team attends national
and local association meetings each year,” Brewer said.
“We provide weekly safety and technical training that often includes bringing in industry leaders to provide up-to-date training and trends. We also meet weekly with our leadership team to plan and discuss business needs.”
Redd has been committed to contributing back to the pest industry through subscriptions, meetings, seminars, and donations. Over the years, members of its management team have served on boards and panels at the local and national levels in the pest industry with personnel often serving as trainers and speakers at conferences.
“In continued efforts to help support our industry, Redd donated $50,000 to Mississippi State University for a new termite training facility,” Brewer said. “The new facility is dedicated in memory of Redd Pest Control’s founders and it’s the first hands-on training facility of its kind in Mississippi.”
Looking for ways to improve customers’ experience, Redd Pest is at the forefront of technology with its scheduling, route optimization, and electronic agreements. “We use one of the industry’s leading software systems to help support our operations and to help lead us into the future,” Brewer said.
Additionally, Redd Pest contributes time, money, and personnel to a variety of civic, non-profit, and educational organizations in the communities they serve.
