About This Issue
Welcome to our Coastal Commerce issue! For those who have been here a while, you may remember this edition better as our Business and Industry issue.
This month, it’s all about what makes the Coast economy thrive. From main streets, chambers, and downtowns to businesses large and small, these organizations are the lifeblood of our community
This special section covers a little bit of everything. Take a deep dive into our “blue economy,” find out what’s new in the casino industry, and find out how to get involved in philanthropic groups across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Of course, every issue of South Mississippi Living includes our tried and true sections, such as Coast Notes, Dining, Home, Shopping, Healthy Living, and our monthly Calendar of Events.
As a foodie, the Dining section is always a personal favorite. This month, our restaurant reviewer visited two Gulf Coast gems: one old and one new. Captain Al’s has been a staple since, well, just after I was born – and for good reason. No one does surf and turf like they do! Radish, one of the new kids on
the block, is quickly making a name for itself as a culinary inspiration. While I can’t say I’ve ever had a steak that was crusted in vegetable ash, I’ve been assured that it’s beyond worth the try!
Closing out this issue, LaShaundra McCarty, a communications expert and professional speaker, shares some words of wisdom with us in this month’s Final Say. Find out more about the Blue Ocean Strategy and how to dive into the waters of innovation. We’re sure you’ll be inspired!
