fried then topped with pickled slaw, red onions and spicy boiled shrimp. Captain Al’s signature honey fire sauce makes for the perfect finishing touch.
Joachim loves to create new specials with fresh- caught fish and the Pecan Crusted Tripletail is definitely special. Served atop a roasted jalapeño and corn puree, the fish is topped with sauteed crawfish tails and a lemon brown butter. But if you are ready to get your hands dirty, then go for the Captain’s Catch. One whole lobster, boiled shrimp, Dungeness crab, corn and potatoes will put you to work, but like all the dishes at Captain Al’s, it’s totally worth it. And no meal is complete without Magnusen’s signature Fried Key Lime Pie. You have to try it to believe it, and believe me, it is good.
Big things are on the horizon at Captain Al’s. Live music is a weekend staple on the sea deck where you can get delicious cocktails and ice-cold beer while listening to local favorites. Captain’s Wharf Marina is located adjacent to the Captain Al’s property and is home to 100 full service wet slips, as well as a covered dry dock. Jet ski and pontoon boat rentals are increasingly popular.
A fully stocked marina store, complete with fuel, boat supplies and bait, is in the works, along with an upcoming island bar located in the middle
of the marina. Captain Al’s and the Captain’s Wharf Marina is your one stop shop for all types of marine fun, but most importantly, it’s a great place to enjoy good friends and really good food.
