Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry is owned and operated by
Dr. Kinyatta Bennett, who has been meeting the dental needs of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 11 years. Her professional affiliations include the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Society and Mississippi Dental Association. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Dr. Bennett and her team are dedicated to addressing the dental needs of the whole family. Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry services provided include cosmetic and restorative dentistry, bonding, crown and bridge, implants, clear aligners, dentures, and endodontics. Dr. Bennett takes great pride in taking care of her patients and helping them get their smiles back.
The Gulf Coast native has three children – Christopher Bennett II, Briana and Laura-Jae. She credits her children as
her inspiration in every step she makes. Dr. Bennett and her late husband, Dr. Christopher Bennett, opened the practice in June 2015, and she remains committed to helping her patients achieve good dental health and beautiful smiles.
There is nothing Dr. Bennett likes more than spending time with her family, but she also has a passion for giving back to the community. One effort that is particularly close to her heart is the annual Dr. Christopher Bennett School Supply Giveaway.
During this year’s event, Healthy Smiles gave away more than 500 book bags filled with school supplies. Additionally, they provided haircuts, gave away 300 bags of groceries, had a medical group perform free physicals and were joined by Memorial Hospital in administering COVID-19 vaccinations.
Also at Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry is Dr. Roy L. Irons. His dentistry career spans nearly 30 years, and he remains a leading voice in dentistry in Mississippi. A native of Corinth, Mississippi, and a veteran of the United States Navy, Dr. Irons was the 88th President of the National Dental Association.
New to the Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry team is Dr. Jean-Paul Assad, DMD, a native Mississippian and a 2020 graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in Jackson. He also completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency training program. Dr. Assad shares the goal of instilling joy in people through restoring their smiles.
