A local mortgage loan officer, Don Blaize of D'Iberville, is bringing a national television show to the Coast to showcase what the area has to offer. He is now filming the six episodes of Financing the American Dream on American Dream TV. It can be seen on CNBC, Bloomberg and the Travel Channel along with streaming services such
as Apple, Roku and Amazon Prime. At press time Blaize did not know the dates the show will air but asks viewers to check his website for more information.
“I will be notified of the air dates after all filming is done,” Blaize said. “It's exciting. The show, which was nominated for an Emmy, has 60 million viewers. It's not just about
real estate; it's about tourism, life style and what makes communities special.”
Blaize, who's been in the mortgage industry 23 years, truly believes the area is special and has set a goal of communicating that to the television audience. He is currently slated for six episodes and is hopeful of getting a contract for more.
Five episodes will be filmed on the Coast in the cities of Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Gulfport, Diamondhead and Bay St. Louis. The fifth show will feature our illustrious neighbor to the West, New Orleans.
“We want to showcase what we have here and shed light on the Mississippi Coast and what we're really like,” Blaize said. “We've all been in places and seen the sometimes- negative reaction when we say we're from Mississippi. What better way to show the nation what we're really like than with a television program filmed here?”
