9Adopt a Grandparent Day
Adopt a Grandparent Day is a day where community volunteers honor those who need more appreciation. Statistics show 50 percent of the elderly residing in nursing homes have no close relatives and 46 percent have no living children. Many often feel lonely and isolated. Adopt A Grandparent Day was founded in 2014
to bring awareness of this matter to the community, in hope that together, we can make a difference in their lives. Volunteers go in teams to bring gifts for seniors. adoptagrandparentday.org
