About This Issue
April at South Mississippi Living is all about the kids! Fun and colorful, this issue is full of everything you need as a parent, from private school listings and summer camps to hands-on learning and healthcare advice. Also in this issue, meet our 2024 Terrific Teens! We had more nominations this year than ever before and we can’t thank our readers enough for their participation. April is also the birthday month of one of our newest columnists, Dr. Nickie Harris-Ray! Nickie has been
an absolute blessing to our team and an asset to our readers with her healthcare insights. Happiest of birthdays, Nickie!
This month our resident dining expert, Kimberly Rasmussen, visited two kid-friendly Coast hotspots, one new and one old. A recent addition to Ocean Springs, Snow & Boba is the pinnacle of what you want in a
tea house. I actually just tried this place out for myself the night before writing this letter and I will absolutely be back! I tried the Tropical Paradise and would
highly recommend it to my fellow fruit lovers. Over in Hancock County, The Mockingbird Café has been a Gulf Coast staple for as long as I can remember. Cozy, comfortable, and community-driven are the words I would use to describe it, but if you haven’t been for yourself, now’s the time! Also in this issue, Chelsea Gieselmann shares a quick and easy recipe for one of her family’s favorites: Lasagna Rolls-Ups.
