Sea Song Plantation
 Andrew Jackson, Jr., adopted
son of President Andrew Jackson, made his home here before the Civil War. The plantation was named
by Jackson’s wife, Sarah, after the original home, formerly owned by Asa Russ, burned to the ground in
Sea Song Plantation or Jackson House, Waveland
1858. It was located at what is now Buccaneer State Park in Waveland. Fire destroyed it again in 1935. Jackson also owned the Clifton Plantation on the site of what is now the Port Bienville Industrial Park near Pearlington.
