Palace Casino Resort hosting multi-course wine dinner
New Hours at Jia
Jia, Beau Rivage’s Pan-Asian restaurant, has expanded its hours of operation and is now open daily. The restaurant’s full menu is available Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 4:30 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 4:30 to 11 p.m. Dining at the noodle and sushi bar only is available Monday and Tuesday, 4:30 to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 4:30 p.m. Jia serves a variety of Asian dishes from Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, China and Japan. At the noodle bar (above), enjoy a large selection of pho, including the combination (below), and noodle dishes, while the sushi bar boasts favorite rolls, nigiri and sashimi specialties.
BILOXI — Foodies and wine enthusiasts will find plenty to talk about with the upcoming wine dinner at Palace Casino Resort. Taking place in Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood and featuring five courses paired with wines from Chappellet Winery, the dinner is set for Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m.
The meal starts with a Japanese shrimp salad with pickled shrimp, corn, miso and cream. This is paired with Chappellet Grower Collection Chardonnay. The second course features arancini, also known as Italian rice balls. The arancini are made with Italian sausage, fontina cheese and San Marzano tomato, and are beautifully matched with Chappellet Mountain Cuvee.
The first entrée, lamb saddle, is paired
with Chappellet Cabernet Franc. The dish features pine nuts, Parmesan-Reggiano, greens, roasted tomato, garlic and jus. Prime New York strip steak, with black garlic butter, a mushroom medley and Yukon potato puree, is the second entrée. This is enhanced with Chappellet Signature Cabernet Sauvignon.
And for the final course, indulge in the French dessert Paris-Brest, with choux pastry, chocolate mousse and orange jam. This luscious offering is paired with Chappellet Merlot.

Triple Patty Burger
Hamburger aficionados will want to make their way to Ameristar Casino Hotel for the new Jackpot burger available at Bella’s Bakery & Cafe. Take note: Three beef patties, two types of sliced cheese, a mountain of bacon, two onion rings, barbecue sauce, cheese sauce, two fried eggs, mushrooms and jalapeño peppers with a pickle to garnish and lettuce, sliced tomatoes and onions on the side. Served with fries, the burger is available for $24. Bella’s is open daily.
