Pearl River Resort has ice cream scoop
Craft Milkshakes
The Chocolate Box inside Golden Nugget Biloxi features all things chocolate. While there is an array of gourmet chocolates, handmade confections, novelty candy and more, during National Ice Cream Month, guests may want to indulge in the Chocolate Box’s handmade craft milkshakes. These shakes come in a variety of flavors, including strawberry cheesecake, chocolate brownie, and peanut butter cup, plus there are rotating seasonal flavors. The Chocolate Box is open Monday through Thursday, noon to midnight, and Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to midnight.
CHOCTAW — In honor of July being National Ice Cream Month, Pearl River Resort has the scoop on the hottest ice cream spots at the property. A volunteer taste-tester team was more than happy to visit every location where ice cream can be found, and after a thorough, brain-freezing investigation, created a list of
favorites, presented here in no particular order.
• The Dippin’ Dots Station at Geyser Falls Water Theme Park: Dippin’ Dots has that unique texture and fun that kids and adults love.
• The Bakery at Silver Star Casino — Gelato Station: Don’t let the French name fool you, gelato is every bit ice cream. It has less fat and less air than ice cream, making it denser and more flavorful.
• The Buffet at Silver Star Casino: The soft serve ice cream at the dessert station is in your total control. Whether in a cone or a bowl, chocolate, vanilla, or swirled together, you can get your fill. And don’t forget the
toppings.
• The Club House Restaurant at Dancing
Rabbit Golf Course: They keep it simple and classic at The Club House: ice cream bars, because golfers are on the go.
• Mama ‘N’ ‘Em Restaurant at Golden Moon Casino: On the dessert menu at Mama’s, guests will find a Southern favorite — warmed peach cobbler with tea biscuits
and vanilla ice cream.
• STATS Sports Bar & Grill
at Silver Star Casino: The staff choice here is a specialty drink from the bar, the Mud Slide.
• Phillip M’s Fine Dining at Silver Star Casino: The choices include pineapple upside down cake served with cherry ice cream, Mississippi mud cake made with chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream topped with marshmallow fluff, or the Gateau Riche (pictured), a homemade vanilla ice cream in an almond brittle shell, topped with chocolate, strawberry and caramel sauce, whipped cream and chopped pecans.
