Something for everyone
Island View buffet is loaded with choices, filled with flavor
GULFPORT — When friends get together for dinner, there is always discussion on where to go and what to eat. Everyone has a different thought. One wants Southern food, perhaps fried catfish and chicken. Another suggests pizza and meatballs. And, to a third, fried rice and sesame chicken sound good. As for the fourth person, well, a bit of everything, including desserts, would hit the spot.
So where to go? The answer
is simple: The Buffet at Island View Casino Resort, where even the most finicky diners are sure to find plenty to fill their plates. The expansive restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a full selection of Southern favorites, Italian and Asian specialties, a carving station with comfort foods and a complete salad bar. There is also an array of desserts, from cobblers and bread pudding to cookies, cakes and homemade ice creams and gelatos.
Our group of four recently dined at The Buffet, enjoying every minute. There is plenty of seating in the spacious, bright room. The waitstaff is pleasant and friendly, the chefs at the food stations are knowledgeable and helpful, and the food is

simply delicious. Our buffet style is to walk the room and check out each station before grabbing a plate. That way, each of us can plan out which favorite
foods to try first, desserts we know we’re going to want to eat at the end of the meal, and what, if any, dishes might have to be skipped.
