Miss Alcorn State University - ArKayla Ellis is actively involved on campus and in her community.

ArKayla Ellis came to Alcorn in 2008 on a full academic scholarship.  e senior biochemistry/pre-medicine major is in the Honors’ Curriculum Program and has been on Dean’s List every semester. She is an active member of numerous academic honors societies, student medical associations, and community service organizations, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“Serving as Miss Alcorn is one of the most memorable experiences in my life,” ArKayla said. “I am so grateful and honored to be selected to serve as a torch bearer for the name of my University.  e title gives you so much pull in di erent areas. You get to touch so many lives, meet so many people.”
For the remainder of her reign, ArKayla plans to continue to carry out her platform, which focuses on education and better womanhood. Upon graduation, she aspires to attend  e University of Tennessee College of Medicine.
