DONNA W. LANGLINAIS
Donna Langlinais and her late husband, Louie, started Beacon Insurance Services in 1977 after he had worked for another insurance company. They enjoyed working together and the business grew into a family business. Today, one son and three grandchildren work at Beacon.
The things she likes most about the insurance business are forming relationships with people and helping them any way she can. “Everyone is like family,” she says, “I love the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the wonderful people who live and work here!”
Donna was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to Biloxi at a young age when her father was stationed there in the Air Force. She’s been here ever since, graduating from Biloxi High School and marrying her high school sweetheart, Louie.
Community involvement is a big part of her life. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Biloxi Elks Lodge, a past member of the Gulf
Coast Insurance Women’s Group where she held various positions, Fleur De Lis Ladies Auxiliary, Biloxi Main Street, a board member of the Biloxi Yacht Club, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church parishioner, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Bereavement Committee. She is also involved with the March of Dimes, served as Captain and Queen in Bonne Vivantes, and many other civic efforts. After volunteering with her church’s business office for five years, she has recently retired.
Her friends describe her as someone who lives life to the fullest and is
a great cook, compassionate, dedicated, loyal, fun loving and loves her family. Hobbies include reading, dancing, playing trivia at the Biloxi Yacht Club and traveling with her fellow 1966 BHS graduates.
She has two sons, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Oh, and last but certainly not least, she loves Elvis Presley and was even on stage with him in Las Vegas – a story for another day!
