After receiving her PharmD from Xavier University of Louisiana, Jordan Abuliel Barbay started working in community/retail phar- macy. “I love interacting with patients and being an integral part of improving their quality of life,” Barbay explains. “Pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals. Being able to counsel patients on important medications and keeping them adherent and healthy is important to me.”
After graduating, Barbay and her husband relocated to the Coast. They have a four-year-old, Meadow, and an aussiedoodle, George. According to Barbay, the two are best friends.

With 40 years of dance instruction experience on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Cheryl Dawson Black offers classes for ages three and up, in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, and Contemporary. She also serves as Artistic Director for Ballet Theatre South, which has performed The Nutcracker yearly for over 20 years.

Coastal Marine Sales and Service is a locally owned, one location Mississippi business where you’re guaranteed a one-on-one experience when doing business. Brandy Cunningham came aboard in 2019, originally taking on the role of business manager. “I absolutely fell in love with all aspects of the marine industry and in just a few short years have worked my way up to becoming the general manager,” says Cunningham.
Her favorite part of the job is that she gets to sell happiness. “It’s a product that helps relieve stress and creates a hobby or a passion, such as fishing,” she explains. Being from the Gulf Coast, she has a vast knowledge of the waterways in the area, so Cunningham can assist her customers with this extensive knowledge. She loves taking her new customers on sea trials and showing them the beauty of boating.
