The menu includes artisan breads, pastries, gourmet French-influenced breakfast and lunch. House specialties are sourdough croque madame sandwiches and fresh tartines.
Scott has been a chef for more than 13 years with a culinary degree from the Art Institute of Charleston in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry. He has worked under multiple James Beard-nominated chefs, at a five star/four diamond steak house at Kiawah Island Resort, and was the banquet chef at the Thompson Hotel in Nashville. Rachel says he's excited to bring his experiences and skills back home to the Coast.
“More than his degrees, Scott has earned skills and knowledge through tireless dedication to his profession. He has worked in kitchens ranging from fine dining to high volume to local lunch spots and catering,” Rachel says. “He has prepared meals for professional athletes, entertainers, presidential families, the general public and the pickiest of children, all with the same respect and care.
Rachel has worked in restaurants' front of house since she was a teenager. After earning a degree in psychology, she spent time working in culinary schools helping students reach their goal of a culinary degree. She now finds herself working in all facets of the business, but says hospitality is her joy. “I've taught, recruited, advised, supported, assisted, and managed, but I was never far from the culinary industry,” she says. “Most importantly, I have been alongside Scott throughout his journey and have a love for the entire experience of dining through alternative dining experiences along the way.”
