named Jackson County’s Outstanding 4-Her in 2018. Rouse has also played on the VHS Girls Golf team for the entirety of her high school career, and she lettered for three
of those years.
In 2021, Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture Andy
Gipson started a Mississippi Agriculture Youth Council. High school seniors from all over the state applied and went through a rigorous interview process. In the end, he chose 12 members – Rouse among them!
Rouse is passionate about agriculture and being on the Council has given her the chance to network and meet people who share her same interests. She is excited to attend Mississippi State University in the fall and study Agribusiness.
Vancleave High School (VHS) senior Adaline Rouse does a little bit of everything. Not only is she ranked in the top 30 of her graduating class, but she is also a member of the National Honor Society at VHS and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
At school, Rouse has been Student Body President on the Student Council, is a part of half a dozen clubs, and was
Jada Hall is an outstanding member of Gulfport High School’s senior class and a busy young lady. She is involved with numerous extracurricular activities. She is basketball team captain, student council president, Miss Gulfport High School, and a student ambassador.
“Jada is involved
in many school
and philanthropy
endeavors. She is a role model and a great person inside and out,” said Sandy Commer-East, career pathways specialist and public relations director of the Gulfport School District.
Jada’s favorite subjects are chemistry, calculus, and all math subjects. Her plans after graduation are to attend Tougaloo College as a chemistry major on the pre- pharmacy track.
“Since pharmacy is a pretty broad career, I am open to go wherever my career takes me. I plan to utilize my job as a pharmacist to help give back to the community as much as I can.,” she said. “I want to get to know my patients on a personal level, so I can help cater to their needs. I will be sure to use my knowledge of health to help improve the lives around me.”
