About This Issue
From summer camps to private schools, we’ve
got you covered. The Kids Issue is filled with great information, whether it be advice on selecting their first pet, cultivating a love of the environment from an early age, or giving them the gift of experiences right here in South Mississippi.
The cover of this issue features a birthday bash – Bash Collective, that is. Planning a special event is no easy feat, but Sarah Hutto with Bash Collective makes her clients’ dreams a reality. If you can dream it, she can create it! She’s no stranger to creating birthday magic, and we thank her for bringing that same magic to our cover.
Also a part of this issue, we celebrate some
truly terrific teens. Each year, we select a handful
of junior and senior students from across the
Coast who have gone above and beyond, either
in academics, extracurriculars, or overcoming obstacles. We are so proud of each of these students and can’t wait to see where they go from here!
In our Health section, learn how to keep kids’ immune systems strong, as well as teach them the beginnings of financial literacy. Head on over to Dining for some kid-friendly meals the whole family is sure to love. First up is Big Play Entertainment Center, which has high quality offerings you would never guess came from an arcade, followed by Edd’s Drive-In, a true Gulf Coast staple. Seriously, it’s that good!
Closing out our Kids Issue, Melinda Jones, musical arts instructor at the new Hope Academy campus, shares with us the vision for the new installment as well as her insight as a long-time educator.
