After six years as the chief of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. Parry opened his own fertility practice. Positive Steps Fertility helps build families in Mississippi and surrounding areas with the personal, empathetic, and successful care he had become known for at the university.
Dr. Parry is also the inventor of the Parryscope® technique and approach, a breakthrough for fertility testing that can accurately, gently, and quickly evaluate three critical factors in female fertility
with a single office visit. The Parryscope® fertility test, replaces the often painful HSG test, with more comprehensive insight into fertility factors.
“Fertility testing often takes too long and doesn’t give clear answers,” says Dr. Parry. “We needed something that gave fast results without hurting and still was accurate and safe.”
The root of his interest in women’s health dates back to the 1980s when Dr. Parry was a student at Cornell. At the same time, his mother, a 28-year survivor, was battling breast cancer. Dr. Parry remembers being worried and confused. He decided then that he wanted to make sure other families didn’t face the same challenges when they got treatment.
“Being smart and getting great outcomes matters, but people also need clear explanations and want to know how much you care before they care how much you know.”

What is the most rewarding aspect of your career:
Our favorite thing is seeing couples become families. So many people have gone through
long journeys before reaching us, and it is both fun and a privilege to help them make it to the other side. Our favorite day of the year is baby reunion day, when all these families come back with their children and we get to celebrate their success.
